Iterrative Tangential Voting (ITV) is an advanced image processing algorithm for the inference of structural saliency. An example on vascular-structure enhancement through ITV is shown as follows,

  • The parameters for ITV need to be optimized per application;
  • For some of the cases, region of interests (e.g., in this case the lung region) are required for meaning signal detection/utilization.
